Site & Environmental Audits
Environmental Audits, or Site Audits, are an essential service for Planning Consent Authorities to ensure land is suitable for development and does not pose any potential human health or environmental risks due to contamination.
All Australian states, except for the Australian Capital and Northern Territories who defer to auditors approved in other jurisdictions, have adopted their own audit systems for contaminated land, each with their own unique rules and regulations. Audit schemes are managed by the relevant Environmental Protection Authority or similar.
Providing auditing services in NSW, VIC, QLD, NT and SA
We use our expertise in the areas of soil science, hydrogeology, hydro–geochemistry and risk assessment to certify that the land being considered is suitable for its planned use. In scenarios where certification is not possible, we also provide guidance on what remedial, management and validation works are required to achieve certification. We also liaise with the various state-based regulators to ensure they are satisfied with the auditing process for each individual site and scenario.
