[Melbourne, 28.06.24] — EESI Remediation UK, in collaboration with ERM, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2024 Sustainability Delivery Award in the category of "Remediation Project of the Year" by Environment Analyst Global.
"Insights from the Sustainable Remediation of an Agrochemical Manufacturing Facility" the winning project, displays EESI's dedication to environmental stewardship and creative remediation techniques, by demonstrating how sustainability can be incorporated into each step of a complex remediation process. It was carried out at a former agrochemical manufacturing facility in Southern England.
The collaboration between EESI Remediation and ERM focused on a sustainable and low carbon footprint bioremediation treatment solution for soil impacted by recalcitrant organophosphate pesticides. By adopting Sustainable Management Practices (SMPs), the team not only achieved their sustainability goals, but engaged positively with the local community, generating several 'feel good' outcomes, and pioneering new methods to enhance the project's sustainability.
